The Koch Brothers: Traitors? Yes or No?

Freedom's SwordAre the Koch Brothers traitors, who are working against America and the American people?

That’s an interesting question. We know that the Founders would have considered them as being inimical to the dreams of the American people and to American governance. Thomas Jefferson was quite clear on this subject: “I hope we shall crush… in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”  And , again: “The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of God.”  What the Koch Brothers and others are doing, with the help of their serfs in the U.S. Supreme Court, is usurping the rights of the American people to a fair and just government; a government for ALL Americans. To my mind, what has happened in Wisconsin is only a precursor to what will happen in America if the Kochs, and others like them, get their way.

This latest piece at Politico.com just adds to the concern and should stir Real Americans into shouting out the warning even louder. It appears that, for the Koch Brothers, America’s laws may be just a minor impediment to the achievement of their ends – whatever those ends are – and, if possible crimes or negative publicity come out into the open, they also seem to be quite happy to send a sacrificial lamb out to be slaughtered.

Giving aid and comfort to a declared enemy of the United States is TREASON. Violating the spirit of the law, by using a legal manoeuvre, could still be considered treason. Trading with Iran, America’s avowed enemy, and giving them aid to build up their industries, would, in the minds of most Real Americans be considered to be treason. It is inconceivable that the Kochs did not know what was going on. They are notoriously secretive about their operations and appear to keep tight control over everything.

These people, and others like them, are out to destroy the Founders’ collective vision for America, yet they are being allowed to buy their way into the U.S. Government. I blame that squarely on the politicians who hold out their hands to the Kochs, and to other enemies of the Founders’ vision, to receive their “thirty pieces of silver”. I also blame the Supreeme Court for their decision to consider corporations as “people”, which flew in the face of the Founders’ opposition to the involvement of monied corporations in government, and to over a century of precedent.

Thinking Americans will find it very hard to look at the actions of the Kochs, and others like them, and see nothing less than a lust for power and control; a desire to make the American and State Governments their tools, and to turn the American people into willing slaves. We have seen how they have corrupted the Republican Party and turned it, and the Tea Party, into anti-American institutions. The Founders foresaw it, smelled the corruption and treachery corporations bring with them, and warned against it.

But, back to my original question. Are the Kochs traitors to America? Yes or No? You decide.
